Daryl McKenna- Owner/Operator:
My family and I moved to Northfield in 2017 because we loved the historic, small town feel. Since then, our children have start school in town. They are active in local sports associations, the Community Ed programs each session, as well as, arts programs associated with the schools. I have coached youth sports in local associations and intend to continue to do so. My family is vested in this community and we look for more ways to contribute.
I was born in Minneapolis and either lived or worked there most of my life. I am a USMC veteran with combat deployments. I was also a police officer for nearly 14 years.
Most of my life I have been driven to service and helping others. After retiring from policing I looked for ways to continue to serve. Aside from coaching and helping youth grow within the community, I wanted to start a business that would help the community and be able to give back. So, in the Summer of 2023 I started Blackwolf Asphalt LLC. In this way, I can help by keeping asphalt assets looking great, as well as, safe for pedestrians and vehicles. I take pride in my work and I have always had an eye for attention to detail.
My plan is once Blackwolf Asphalt grows as a business we will give back to those communities which we serve. One of the reasons why I wanted to start a business was to be in a better position to better the community and make an impact on others' lives. One way I plan on doing that is by donating time and money to local originations where we do business. I believe it is important to give back to communities rather than just profiting from them.
