     Blackwolf Asphalt was founded to provide a professional service that focuses on attention to detail and great customer care. In addition, we strive to have that family run and hometown feel while being professional and providing quality services. As our company grows, we plan to reinvest in the communities we serve by donating time and money to local organizations.

Daryl McKenna- Owner/Operator:

My family and I moved to Northfield in 2017, drawn by its historic charm and small-town feel. Since then, our children have become deeply involved in the community, participating in local sports associations, Community Ed programs, and school-affiliated arts programs. I’ve also coached youth sports in local leagues and plan to continue giving back in this way. We are fully invested in this community and always looking for more ways to contribute.

I was born in Minneapolis and spent most of my life living or working in the city. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with combat deployments and a former police officer of nearly 14 years, service has always been at the core of who I am.

After retiring from law enforcement, I sought new ways to make a meaningful impact. Coaching and mentoring youth has been one avenue, but I also wanted to build a business that would serve the community and give back. In the summer of 2023, I founded Blackwolf Asphalt LLC with the goal of keeping asphalt surfaces looking great and ensuring they remain safe for both pedestrians and vehicles. With strong attention to detail and a deep sense of pride in my work, I strive to deliver the highest quality service.

As Blackwolf Asphalt grows, my commitment to giving back will grow with it. One of my core goals in starting this business was to be in a position to positively impact the communities we serve. That’s why I plan to donate both time and resources to local organizations in the areas where we do business. I believe in strengthening communities—not just profiting from them.
