We provide sealcoating and pavement repair services primarily in the Northfield area. We also provide services to Lakeville, Farmington, Faribault, Cannon Falls, Lonsdale and much of Rice, Dakota and Scott counties.

Sealcoating is a part of regular asphalt maintenance that should be applied every 2-3 years depending on weather and other conditions. The application of sealant protects the asphalt from oils, weathering and water damage.

Crack filling or crack sealing is done to prevent water from entering the asphalt and damaging it as it freezes in the winter months or to prevent the water from deteriorating the sub-base(foundation). Typically a hot rubberized sealant is used to seal the cracks. This can be done by itself or in conjunction with sealcoating.

Pothole repair fixes holes in asphalt by applying a cold patch, hot patch or Infra-Red application.  Pothole repair is necessary to prevent further erosion of the asphalt, prevent damage to vehicles or injuries to pedestrians. Blackwolf Asphalt currently offers cold patch repair and infrared patching.

"Alligator Cracks" are a series of cracks that form which looks like alligator skin. A special filler/sealant is used for these types of cracks. This repair is done for the same purpose as crack filling, to prevent water penetration which causes more damage over time.

Concrete grinding is done to remove trip hazards on your property. These are typically created by heaving pavement that leave a lip that causes a tripping hazard. This type of repair is cost effective and quick. This type of repair can be done on asphalt as well. An  additional service with this is line stripping removal. 

We offer line stripping to our small to mid-size commercial properties. We ensure that we follow Federal and local regulations for ADA. 

Do you know what condition your pavement is in? If not, we offer annual pavement assessments so you know what hazards and repairs are needed on your property. We look at; potholes, cracks, asphalt surface wear, line stripping, ADA compliance, trip hazards, drainage issues. Afterwards, you are given an in-depth report and a suggested maintenance timeline.

We offer Free Estimates to both residential and commercial clients. We do an all inclusive estimate with no obligation. We only suggest services you need and we will not push you to take the suggested services.
